Role:

As a Game Designer at Worlds you will be the creative force and visionary for our upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) game, crafted with the power of Unreal Engine 5. This position is pivotal in shaping the design, mechanics, and overall player experience.

Responsibilities:

    Develop and define game concepts and mechanics that resonate with the FPS community.

    Conduct extensive market research to understand current trends and analyze competing titles.

    Engage with the gaming community to gather feedback and continuously iterate on design elements.

Who you are:

You’re an expert in visual storytelling and the language of video content. You have an intuitive sense of what draws people into a trailer or static ad whether it be for a video game, a film, or any other kind of media

You’re an independent worker, when your task list is clear you reach out to other teams and find where your work is needed.

You know your tools. Premier and After Effects are a must. Experience with Blender or Unreal 4/5 are a plus. 

You’re capable of lending a hand in other areas of marketing such as preparing and editing screenshots and social media material with tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Godot Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will have direct communication with our CTO/Game Director on a daily basis, and will work closely with artists, musicians, sound designers, and fellow engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and optimizing various systems within our games.

This is a high-impact position where your contributions will significantly influence the success of our studio.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:
    - Deep understanding of game development, systems design, and software architecture.
    - Being obsessive about writing maintainable and scalable code.

Bonus Skills:
    - Proficiency in C++ and GDExtension.
    - Experience with shaders.
    - Knowledge of web development (front-end or full-stack).
    - Video Game Networking

Soft Skills:
    - Strong verbal and written communication skills (native-level English is not required).
    - High attention to detail and consistency in work.
    - Previous experience in remote teams is ideal.
