Key Responsibilities Create high-quality 3D environments, including modeling, texturing, and lighting. Work closely with game designers to align visual aesthetics with gameplay requirements. Optimize all assets for performance across multiple gaming platforms without sacrificing quality. Guide and mentor junior artists, providing constructive feedback and fostering skill development. Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new concepts and innovative ideas for game environments. Regularly communicate project updates and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall quality. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in environment art within the gaming industry. Strong portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in 3D modeling and environmental design. Expert knowledge of industry-standard software such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max. Skills in texturing and painting tools like Substance Painter and Adobe Photoshop. Experience with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity, particularly in lighting, shading, and performance optimization. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while meeting deadlines. Aesthetic sensibility and understanding of composition, color theory, and design fundamentals.
