Wargaming is looking for talented and motivated Data Science Interns to join the Data Science Team. The team helps all Wargaming games by providing data-driven insights and solutions. Topics of involvement include analyzing player lifecycle, developing predictive models, analyzing the impact of new game features, and collaborating with many different business departments. In addition, the team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the internal Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics platform.    

As a Data Science intern, you will participate in various projects focused on solving challenging business problems by developing statistical or machine learning models.   

What will you learn? 

• Develop models that provide insights into our games and player behavior    

• Online gaming analytics understanding  

• Present findings to technical and business audiences in a clear and informative manner   

• Acquire experience working with cutting-edge machine-learning models and techniques   

• Learn or improve your programming skills (Python, R, SQL)  

• Gain experience working with Big Data (Hadoop, Oracle, Snowflake)

Your mentors will be: 

Marios Rotsides is the Data Science Lead. He understands the market, the way WG works, data structures, and ML modeling techniques.  

Loizos Pantelides is a Senior Data Scientist. He has good hands-on experience with data warehouses and ML production environments.  

Tatyana Kaminskaya is a Data Scientist. She has good hands-on experience and time-series forecasting expertise.  

Balazs Mayer is a Data Scientist with good modeling experience and critical thinking. 

What are we looking for? 

• English working proficiency 

• Basic knowledge of mathematics 

• Basic knowledge of programming in Python or R 

• Good organizational and time management skills 

What will help you stand out? 

• Experience playing World of Tanks or general gaming experience.
