Yodo1 is looking for a Senior Game Designer to Join Transformers: Earth Wars.

WHAT WE EXPECT

You will:

  • Own Complex Feature & Content Design: Architect and implement major systems and features (e.g., new progression mechanics, event frameworks, or combat updates) and new game characters from high-level concept to final data implementation.

  • Drive Systemic Balance: Analyze and refine the game’s core economy, game loops and combat meta. Ensure that new content creates strategic depth and healthy metagame shifts through rigorous data analysis and forecasting.

  • Champion Design Clarity: Create high-level design documentation that communicates the "why" behind features. Present and defend your designs to stakeholders, using player data and industry best practices to influence the product roadmap.

  • Elevate Team Quality: Provide constructive, peer-to-peer feedback on the designs of other team members. Help elevate the team's output by sharing advanced knowledge of Unity tools, balance methodologies, and live game optimization.

  • Optimize the Pipeline: Collaborate with production to define scoping and technical requirements. Work closely with art and engineering to optimize the content pipeline, ensuring a sustainable monthly release cadence without sacrificing quality.

You must have:

  • Game/content design experience, ideally on live hero/character driven mobile/F2P titles.

  • Strong understanding of game systems, balance, and player motivation in free-to-play games.

  • Experience using Unity and internal content tools.

  • An analytical mindset, able to use data and feedback to refine designs.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration within cross-functional and globally distributed teams.

  • A deep passion for mobile games.

You might have:

  • IP Expertise: A deep passion for the Transformers franchise with extensive lore knowledge that informs authentic content creation.

  • Live Operations: Experience designing for live ops calendars (events, sales, battle passes) and understanding how to engage players between major releases.

  • External Partnerships: Experience briefing and reviewing work from external art or development outsourcing partners.
