The Leidos AEGIS program is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the Engineering Directorate at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have experience with Mentor Graphics design tools and administration, or comparable engineering design applications such as Altium, Creo Schematics, or AutoCAD.
In this role, you will collaborate with NASA design engineers, subject matter experts, and system architects to provide technical support, administration, and management of Mentor Graphics and related engineering design tools. The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support engineering design activities, application functionality, and end-user requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain Mentor Graphics (MG) applications and related engineering design tools.
- Provide technical support for Mentor Graphics design activities and associated applications.
- Create and maintain custom symbols to support engineering design requirements.
- Manage and maintain centralized symbol libraries to ensure consistency and accessibility.
- Develop, create, and update engineering drawing formats and templates.
- Apply Mentor Graphics design best practices to support application development and deployment.
- Utilize HyperLynx for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) analysis.
- Test and evaluate new application releases to ensure functionality and compatibility.
- Provide user training, technical guidance, and troubleshooting support for Mentor Graphics and related design tools.
- Collaborate with NASA engineers, designers, and technical teams to address application and design-related requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related technical field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Electronic Computer-Aided Design (E-CAD) applications.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics or comparable engineering design tools, such as Altium, Creo Schematics, or AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with engineers, designers, programmers, and other technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge and ability to provide technical support, guidance, and training to team members.
- Ability to work onsite at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience utilizing Windchill for engineering data management.
- Experience with 2D schematic design for piping and wiring diagrams, including:
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Fluid power schematics.
- Block diagrams.
Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
