The modern studio is located in the vibrant technology hub of Cambridge (UK). This role is offered on a full in-studio basis or a hybrid basis (minimum 3 days per week in the studio). We can provide a comprehensive relocation support package as part of any offer, should you need to relocate.
WHAT'S THE ROLE?
We’re looking for a Senior Game Designer to join our team and bring their expertise in game design to help create engaging, player first experiences for our creative management simulation titles.
As a Senior Game Designer, you will take ownership of significant game features, and work collaboratively with other disciplines to turn great ideas into compelling experiences that players love.
\n- Design and iteration of complex game features
- Implementing and refining game content using in-house tools
- Building alignment and understanding of game features with clear verbal and written communication
- Ensuring games systems are balanced using analytical methods and incorporating game telemetry
- Driving quality using playtests, player feedback, QA reporting, and your own insights
- Deep game knowledge across a range of genres
- Strong commercial game design experience throughout the product lifecycle on PC & console
- Solid understanding of player psychology and gamer motivations
- Excellent communications skills; ability to present your ideas clearly in verbal and written form
- Effective collaboration with both team members and external stakeholders
- Good knowledge of simulation and management games
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles
- Experience developing tutorials and first-time user flows
- Experience in coaching and mentoring team members
