Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, Studio Manager, Game Manager, and other team leads to define and execute the game vision.
  • Direct the tone, gameplay, and meta structure of the game, focusing on innovation and a thriving AA Experience.
  • Lead the design team to ensure a cohesive experience across the game.
  • Coordinate with level design teams to ensure synergies between mechanics and progression.
  • Anticipate and mitigate threats to quality and innovation.
  • Build a collaborative relationship with the other departments, including Art, UI, Tech, Online, Data, Audio, Production and Human Resources.
  • Allocate and plan resources and roadmap in collaboration with managers and producers.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for game designers.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in game design, including lead or principal GD positions.
  • Released a minimum of two titles while serving as a lead, principal, or senior game designer.
  • Proven experience in 3Cs and gameplay systems design of PC/Console action genres (sports, racing, combat, shooters, open world, etc.)
  • Experience prototyping with Unity or Unreal.
  • Proficiency in core game design aspects like meta-game & progression systems, balancing, UI/UX, level design, and narrative.
  • Proficient communication and leadership skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the gaming market and trends.
  • Skillfulness in retaining a defined creative strategy while being open to modifications.
  • Experience with standard industry tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, etc.
  • Fluent in English

 

Bonus assets:

  • Experience with racing and/or action games.
  • Experience with multiple platforms (PC, console, mobile)
  • Experience with both premium games and games as a service (either DLC, subscription or F2P based).
