With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Junior Graphics Programmer to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.

Responsibilities

Maintain and extend our proprietary engine's VFX systems (particle simulation, materials, post-process effects, rendering/lighting pipeline)
Collaborate closely with the Art/VFX department to implement top-quality visual effects and grow our library of VFX components
Debug and optimize code to meet quality and performance targets
Document code features as you build them

Requirements

Thorough knowledge of C++
Strong technical background (bachelor's degree or comparable experience)
Clear communication skills, written and spoken, in English
Enthusiasm for making and playing great games
Proficiency with modern graphics APIs such as DirectX 12, Vulkan, or Metal
Skilled in using CPU and GPU profiling tools to diagnose and resolve bottlenecks
Solid grasp of particle system algorithms, including GPU-based implementations
Strong command of shading languages, with a track record of writing complex GPU algorithms
Comfort working with multithreaded systems
Strong software design, problem-solving, and debugging skills
Comfortable collaborating with others and taking ownership of your work

Nice To Haves

C# experience
Experience shipping a game or console title is a strong plus
