Full job details

We are looking for an experienced Game & Level Designer with a proven track record of contributing to successful casual or mobile games.

The primary goal of this role is to significantly increase our team’s production capacity while maintaining a consistently high standard of quality. You will be responsible for designing, balancing, testing, and delivering engaging levels at a fast pace.

We are looking for someone who lives and breathes games—an experienced, hands-on designer who can take ownership of projects from concept through launch, create innovative mechanics, and shape compelling player experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the game and level design process from initial concept through production, launch, and post-launch updates.
  • Design, build, balance, and deliver high-quality levels efficiently.
  • Create engaging mechanics, systems, progression structures, and core gameplay loops.
  • Define difficulty curves, pacing, challenges, and player progression.
  • Develop new gameplay concepts and identify opportunities to improve existing features.
  • Collaborate closely with artists, developers, product managers, analysts, and QA teams to bring ideas to life.
  • Create clear design documentation, specifications, and implementation guidelines.
  • Playtest levels and features, identify gameplay issues, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Use player behavior, performance data, and product metrics to improve engagement and retention.
  • Ensure designs are scalable, production-ready, and aligned with the game’s creative and commercial goals.
  • Stay informed about market trends, successful casual games, emerging mechanics, and industry best practices.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven professional experience as a Game Designer, Level Designer, or Game & Level Designer.
  • Demonstrated experience working on successful casual or mobile games.
  • At least one commercially launched title with measurable market success.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing game systems, mechanics, level design, and shipped projects.
  • Proven ability to design and balance a high volume of engaging levels without compromising quality.
  • Strong understanding of difficulty progression, pacing, player psychology, retention, and engagement.
  • Experience taking games or major features through concept development, prototyping, production, QA, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  • Ability to invent original mechanics and apply design thinking across different genres.
  • Experience using playtesting, player feedback, and data to make informed design decisions.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • A proactive, organized, and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • A genuine passion for games and creating outstanding player experiences.

What Success Looks Like:

  • A meaningful increase in the speed and volume of level production.
  • Consistently engaging, polished, and well-balanced levels.
  • Strong ownership of design tasks from concept through implementation.
  • Effective collaboration with production, art, development, product, analytics, and QA teams.
  • Measurable improvements in player engagement, progression, and overall gameplay quality.
