About us

We are Fool's Theory, a company from Bielsko-Biała in Poland, creators of the game Seven: The Days Long Gone and The Thaumaturge.

We are a collective of experienced and creative developers, who share a simple philosophy - we believe that unbridled passion and flexible processes are what makes the perfect combo for crafting great games.

We are actively seeking skilled individuals to join our team to work on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past expansion, developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Animation, Art, and Design to build exciting cinematics.

  • Building high quality blockout for cinematic scenes in 3D software.

  • Processing and integrating character animations, visual effects, and camera work.

  • Independently maintaining and handle cinematics in a highly iterative environment.

  • Consulting on the planning of cinematic team goals.

  • Troubleshooting problems in a collaborative and communicative way.

  • Taking initiative to do creative cross-departmental brainstorming.

  • In addition to core responsibilities, you will be encouraged to take ownership of key features with minimal direction, in support of the Cinematic Design Lead and the Cinematics team.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of cinematic language, camera work and editing.

  • Knowledge of Motion Builder.

  • Open mind and willingness to discuss and learn.

  • Proactive demeanour and strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of composition and cinematography, with the ability to analyse and apply these principles.

  • Experience in non-linear storytelling

  • Experience with DaVinci resolve
