Position Summary: Fox Factory is searching for an Unreal Engine/ CG Generalist with vast experience in CG photography and video, ideally for marketing and advertising. The right candidate will combine technical skills and artistic abilities to create photorealistic still images and videos of our products. The role will also entail helping set up our CG department as a part of the extended marketing/creative team. Working with the Creative Director and Art Director, the Unreal Engine/ CG Generalist would turn scripts and/or mood boards into visual assets required for compelling shots that cover our advertising needs across all our brands and channels. Position Responsibilities: • Work collaboratively with the creative team to execute visual goals for all content, campaign, and brand initiatives on tight timelines • Own the end-to-end production process; model, texture, and light our products (and props) according to our photo and video needs • Design and create shots in UE from scripts, storyboards and mood boards, using the above-mentioned assets • Create sequences by animating our products, props, and cameras • Use motion blur, depth of field, and other effects to simulate real cameras in UE • Render according to specs and deliver various versions of files according to our individual channel requirements • Research and source imagery, music, and any third-party content needed to support projects • Manage and maintain the latest software and hardware • Media Asset Management; organize and maintain the marketing team's CG asset library to allow seamless collaboration across all departments Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required: • Interpersonal skills: you are a proven team player • Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills • Positive approach to problem-solving • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task on different projects simultaneously • Detail oriented and creative, but also able to follow defined brand guidelines • You respond well to constructive criticism and direction • You are a creative thinker who brings excitement and energy to work every day • Possess a strong sense of composition and color • Understand the cinematic language and camera terminology • An understanding of the nuances of contemporary still life photography and motion graphics while staying at the forefront of industry trends and techniques • Experience using photography and animation to tell a story with an inherent understanding of animation timing • Ability to effectively analyze and deconstruct visuals and techniques Position Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Arts or relevant experience and/or an exceptional body of work Portfolio: Please include link to both your online portfolio and your motion reel in your resume Experience: • A minimum of five (5) years experience as a CG artist in gaming, VFX or design studio is required • Proven experience with Unreal Engine specifically with Sequencer, Post Process Effects, lighting, materials, and optimization • Expert in using Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D or Blender • Redshift, Octane Render or Cycles experience • Experience with cleaning up imported geometry/working with CAD files. Retopology. • Experience working with Substance/Mari • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects) • Advanced level of photo retouching (mostly products) • Advanced level of photo and video grading • Knowledge of real-world cameras with an intuitive understanding of focal length, camera sensors and depth of field • Hands-on experience with still photography and film Nice-To-Haves: • Davinci Resolve (Grading) • Experience with Real-Time FX with Niagara • VR/AR experience • Knowledge of social media content best practices Work Environment and Physical Requirements: • This position is full-time and based in our Scottsdale, AZ office • Able to drive with a full driver’s license • Able to travel internationally
