Unannounced Project Associate Environment Artist (New Grad / Early-in-Career)


Bungie is looking for an Associate Environment Artist who can bring enthusiasm and positivity to help create fantastic environments and assets for a visually inspired Unannounced Project. If you enjoy creating stunning environments, then this is the role for you. As an Associate Environment Artist, you will be responsible for creating 3D assets and environments that support both the aesthetic and great game-play.

  • A recent graduate from a U.S. college, university, or related program within 12 months from October 2022
  • Planning to graduate in Fall 2022 through Spring 2023
  • Moving from primarily learning to primarily working within 12 months
  • Transitioning from one craft, function, or discipline to a new one within 12 months


  • Collaborate with concept and art direction to create assets that are visually stunning and consistent with established style
  • Collaborate with world designers to build environments that are awesome game-play spaces as well as visually stunning works of art
  • Modeling environment geometry assets from simple blockout to finished states
  • Finish out environments with detail objects, decals, and animated objects


  • Efficient communication skills
  • Strong understanding of light, value, composition, color, staging and detail in environmental design
  • Good sense of scale and spatial awareness
  • Solid understanding of how the environment affects game play
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Maya, Max, and other 2D/3D applications
  • Responsible time management skills
  • Actively engage in gameplay sessions and participate in feedback discussions


  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or Unity3D or other modern development toolsets
  • Experience with and passion for competitive games
