San Diego Studio is looking for a highly skilled user interface designer to assist with the creation and support of our front-end user interfaces. The ideal candidate would possess a deep understanding of both visual communication and information hierarchy to provide the best product to our customers. This candidate should have experience working with design systems and iterative prototyping.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the design system
- Create and define of the visual “rules” of the interface
- Own the creation and execution of the visual mock-ups of new features
- Partner with designers, programmers, and the interface team to ensure projects are completed on time and meet the expectations of the design intent.
- Find creative ways to solve problems within existing technical limitations
- Work closely with Scrum Master to define the production plan for the UI art
- Ensure visual consistency throughout the experience
- Work with UI Artists to breathe life and motion into specific zones
- Partner with User Research to gain a better understanding of how artistic concepts are received by the end user
- Understand existing technical limitations to define requirements for future capabilities
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience designing user interfaces for video games.
- Advanced knowledge of XD, Figma, or similar software.
- Understanding of fundamental layout principles, usability, and interface design best practices.
- Ability to produce high quality work quickly within strict deadlines and time constraints.
- Agility to work with frequent design changes and iterations.
- Excellent team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- General understanding of programming principles is a plus.
- A passion for video games is a plus.
- Experience working on Mobile apps/ Mobile games is a plus

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
