UI Designer [Black Budget]

We are PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, the global battle royale phenomenon! Since the release of our flagship title in 2017 we have become one of the highest selling video games of all time with over 70 million copies sold – that’s a lot of Chicken Dinners!   

We are headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and sit within the KRAFTON, Inc. corporation. From our Amsterdam office, we cover Europe, Middle East & Africa, and the CIS region, and have teams dedicated to Product Management, Esports, Content, Communications, Creative, Merchandise, HR and more. We are also creating a new game here, with a growing development team working on a brand-new IP.

Our team is looking for an experienced UI Designer who can support on a broad number of UI Design aspects in AAA PC/Console Development.

Basic Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the game design team to understand the game mechanics, user needs, and goals of the project.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of UI layouts and interactions.
• Create and implement UI assets, including icons, buttons, menus, and HUD elements, using industry-standard tools.
• Work closely with the art team to ensure consistent visual design across the game.
• Collaborate on user testing processes and iterate on designs based on feedback and data.
• Optimize the UI for usability, accessibility, and performance on PC and console platforms.
• Document and communicate design specifications and guidelines to the development team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends and best practices in the gaming industry.

What ideally we’re looking for:

• A strong portfolio showcasing your UI design skills, preferably in the gaming industry.
• A solid understanding of design principles, user-centered design, and game development processes.
• Proficiency in industry-standard UI design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma.
• Experience with Unreal Engine and its UI related tools and integration pipeline.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for First Person Shooter & Open World games.
