About the Role

The Client Build Systems team develops and maintains infrastructure platforms and solutions that support hundreds of developers at Twitch. We are looking for a Systems Development Engineer who embodies customer obsession and who prioritizes operational excellence. Together with your peers, you'll help maintain and enhance Twitch's Client Build Tools, including TeamCity, Artifactory, CodeArtifact, and AWS account management. You'll also solve high-leverage infrastructure problems in elegant, reusable ways, acting as a force multiplier for Twitch's software developers You will report to the Manager of Client Build Systems.

You Will:

  • Provide assistance in the delivery of new features and capabilities for Twitch's AWS infrastructure and CI/CD platform strategic roadmaps by writing IAC and automation.
  • Partner with senior engineers to develop infrastructure and CI/CD best practices and patterns.
  • Assist in the maintenance and operations of critical third-party infrastructure and builder tools like GitHub Enterprise, TeamCity, and Artifactory.
  • Respond to operational issues and requests from internal customers.
  • Create and maintain documentation around processes and workflows important to infrastructure and tooling.

You Have:

  • An interest in solving challenging infrastructure problems
  • Programming and scripting experience in one of the following languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, or TypeScript
  • 1+ years of experience with several AWS Services and products
  • A basic understanding of Linux Systems
  • A basic understanding of infrastructure as code concepts
  • An interest in building, maintaining, and supporting high scale, business critical systems in a cloud environment
  • Experience automating administrative and configuration tasks

The base pay range for this position in Colorado, Connecticut, Washington and New Jersey is $99,100 - $160,000 yr and in New York City is $109,000 - $185,000 yr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
