Summary
Larian Studios is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage their Studio Infrastructure and IT at their Guldford office. The responsibilities include on-site support for end-users, managing and administering the local and global infrastructure, troubleshooting and remediation of issues impacting server availability, managing backup and storage, and maintaining monitoring to ensure uptime. The ideal candidate should have experience with Windows and/or Linux OS, strong PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills, experience managing a virtualized infrastructure, and basic understanding of networking concepts. Nice to have skills include knowledge of public cloud environments, experience administering Dell server hardware, automation and deployment tools, version control systems, and backup software. With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games. We are now looking for a Systems Administrator to work onsite at our Guldford office managing our Studio Infrastructure and IT .
Responsibilities
- On-site support for end users
- Manage and administer the local and global infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting server availability
- Manage backup and storage
- Manage and maintain monitoring to ensure uptime
Requirements
- Experience with Windows (Client and Server) and/or Linux OS
- Strong PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Experience managing a virtualized infrastructure such as VMWare or Hyper-V.
- Experience with Google Workplace, Office365, Atlassian Suite
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (WAN,LAN,TCP/IP,VPN,VLAN)
Nice to haves
- Basic knowledge of public cloud environments like AWS,Azure
- Experience administering Dell server hardware
- Experience in automation and deployment tools
- Experience with version control systems(Git, Perforce)
- Experience with backup software (Commvault., Veeam, Netbackup)
