Magic Leap Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Software Systems Engineer who can develop/support software and help develop advanced manufacturing equipment.
Qualified candidates need to be detail oriented, self-starting, and independent. Experience and demonstrated expertise working with the control systems, setting up and configuring first article hardware, scripting, writing test procedures, SW development and debugging. This position requires ability to handle tasks involving considerable use of discretion and independent judgement.

Responsibilities:
- Design test setups and develop hardware / software solutions.
- Design, develop equipment controls software utilizing/reusing existing SW modules and architecture where possible.
- Learn current code base, device unit tests to run in simulation environment, test/bug fix and contribute towards continuous improvement.
- Identify and document user requirements by conferring with internal Engineering, Process, and Customers
- Provides technical support and helps with troubleshooting and improvement activities.
- Create and update operator guides, technical service support manuals and training literature
- 2 to 4 hours per day hands-on testing of capital equipment in a cleanroom
- Domestic travel as required
Qualifications:
- Reasonable SW development skills in C/C++, C# or Java.
- Some programming experience in LabVIEW and any scripting language.
- Exposure to Computer vision, Machine learning and deep learning.
- Interest and/or experience in Mechatronics.
- Strong understanding of coding process, documentation, standards and maintainability
- Energetic and passionate about their work with a strong desire to own an assignment and independently and proactively seeks to deliver the absolute best work products and program results
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering
