Software Engineer in Test, Remote Rendering

Job Description SDET for  system test development and automation of our Spatial Computing  system that provides a realistic 3D augmented environment on top of the real world.  Position will target verifying our implementations of Remote Rendering on the device, server and end to end by developing test cases to exercise the functionality, automating them where applicable, and executing them. Responsibilities
  • As a SDET you will work to define, develop, automate and execute tests to verify our remote rendering solutions on the device, server (cloud) and end to end verifying both functional and non functional use cases.
    • Verify different 3D models supported by our solution with emphasize on the rendered quality and graphics
    • Verify the orientation and placement of the content with our 2D/3D augmented environment 
    • Verify the streaming, audio and video formats and codecs used in the content forms being rendered.
  • Define or develop test utilities if applicable to accomplish the assigned testing
  • Analyze various components of our remote rendering solution, collaborate with various development teams, and use your technical expertise to debug or provide circumstances needed to triage and resolve issues
  • Provide technical recommendations towards solution that supports Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Agile practices
Qualifications 
  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test with hands-on experience in the test development and execution of multimedia, graphics or computer vision algorithms and software components.
  • Good understanding of computer graphics and 2D/3D rendering principles
  • Experience using 3D engines - Unity/Unreal
  • Good understanding of AR/VR or spatial computing concepts
  • Programming experience in Python, C++ or C#
  • Good understanding of graphics APIs - OpenGL,Vulkan, DirectX
  • Experience with OpenXR is an advantage.
  • Background with NVIDIA Omniverse/USD (Universal Scene Description) working is desirable.
  • Understanding of networking technologies concepts is an advantage.
  • Understanding of Video codecs such as H.265, H.264, VP8/9 is an advantage
  • Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent understanding of all test fundamentals and the associated use of test management and defect tracking tools is a must
  • Good troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues
  • Excel in a fast-paced, agile environment supporting multiple projects using a wide variety of technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including effective presentation with a dynamic and “can do” attitude
Education
  • MS in Software Engineering or BS with equivalent experience
