Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer II in San Francisco, CA to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent and three (3) years of experience designing major software components, systems, and features working with microservices and backend APIs. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience developing and testing distributed software written in Java, Kotlin, C++, Scala and Python; developing web applications using ReactJs, ExtJS, and Angular; creating and updating schemas in NoSQL technologies (Cassandra, DynamoDB, Couchbase); deploying distributed code in Docker and Kubernetes; utilizing caching technologies including Redis, Memcached, Ehcache and Hazelcast to cache data to improve performance; using cloud providers including AWS, GCP and Microsoft Azure and searching document stores including Elasticsearch and Solr; creating and running complex reports in Snowflake and Netezza; working with messaging queues and persistent stores including Kafka and RabbitMQ; creating APIs in REST and Spring Boot and gRPC RPC based protocols; and creating, building, and deploying jobs in Jenkins. At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
