Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II in San Francisco, CA to design and develop software for mobile and hybrid applications and systems using modern Agile Techniques such as Scrum. The candidate must have a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent and one year of experience developing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms. The job requires experience in ascertaining software requirements, estimating effort and related costs, executing technical software design, planning software projects, and monitoring existing software. The candidate must also have experience in writing robust unit tests and component tests for various features, improving team processes, proposing standard methodologies for building high-performing teams, participating and engaging in scrum ceremonies, augmenting knowledge base by authoring technical and user documentation, and providing rotational on-call production support. The estimated base pay range for this role is $132,870-$188,600 USD, and the role is eligible for SIE's top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program, and employee discounts for Sony products. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent, and one (1) year of experience developing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms. Prior experience must include one (1) year of ascertaining software requirements, estimating effort and related costs, executing technical software design, planning software projects and monitoring existing software; writing robust unit tests and component tests for various features in order to have stability and maintainability in codebase; improving team processes and proposing standard methodologies for building high performing teams; participating and engaging in scrum ceremonies including planning, standup, demo and retrospectives; augmenting knowledge base by authoring technical and user documentation; and providing rotational on call production support. At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
