Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer II in San Francisco, CA to design and develop software for core technologies that power cloud-based network software services for the PlayStation and other applications and devices. Requires a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent and one (1) year of experience collaborating with technical leaders in software development to provide integrated development environment for users for data pipeline. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience ascertaining software requirements, estimating effort and related costs and planning software projects; building and maintaining Java projects; creating solutions to solve large data set acquisition and analysis using Object-oriented language and databases including MySQL; developing end-to-end technology solutions to solve practical problems and business needs using data structures, data modeling and schema design; troubleshooting production support issues by monitoring existing software; identifying opportunities and developing programs to automate tasks using Java and Python; helping service users understand service functionality/policy, delivering demos, addressing questions and issues; performing in-depth analysis of functional and business requirements; and utilizing Agile development concepts, REST API, and AWS technologies. At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
