At Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), our software development teams are continuously building, testing, and releasing incredible experiences to millions of PlayStation players. Our team is responsible for the software delivery infrastructure and pipelines across all of our frontend development teams, on-console (PlayStation 4/5) and off-console (Mobile, Web, PC). This role will focus on improving and advancing our internal developer experience by collaborating on build pipelines, tools, and release processes. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of technically sophisticated engineers who make developer experience their first priority

  • Experience a wide range of tools and technologies that you will use to both understand the problems of your fellow engineers and improve their productivity

  • Deliver practical, useful, and reliable tools, processes, and systems to PlayStation engineers

  • Use both qualitative and quantitative metrics to determine priorities and measure effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Projected to graduate in 2024

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science with an interest in DevOps and/or developer productivity

  • Comfortable working with a wide variety of technologies and enjoy getting to know new systems

  • Experience with either JavaScript or TypeScript, and open to working with other languages

  • Results driven and pragmatic

  • Eager to learn from and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes - a certain level of comfort with ambiguity and eagerness to bring structure and clarity to the understanding of complex systems with a can-do attitude

  • Have a passion for identifying tedious manual processes and designing a way to automate them
