Summary
The Social Media Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing ArenaNet's Partner Program and social media presence. They will brainstorm, refine, and execute ideas to support assigned games and their social community. The manager will oversee day-to-day activities for ArenaNet's Partner Program, manage assigned social media channels, and contribute to team brainstorming and campaign planning. They will execute social and community engagement initiatives across social media channels and web, partner with production and other team members to develop processes and tools to enable scalable programs, and manage initiatives with internal stakeholders and external influencers. The manager will create and manage programs to engage and foster relationships with key influencers, manage and coordinate internal and external communication with key stakeholders and influencers, and contribute to regular community and marketing team reports regarding player feedback, sentiment and trends, and campaign performance. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, a minimum of 3 years of experience working in community management, influencer marketing, or social media management, and two years of experience working in a professional game development or publishing environment. They will have excellent verbal and written English communication skills, superior attention to detail with strong organizational, project management, coordination, and multi-tasking skills, and a commitment to quality, accuracy, and consistency of message including adhering to brand standards and overall communication strategy. The Social Media Marketing Manager is responsible for managing ArenaNet’s Partner Program and social media presence. Brainstorms, refines, and executes ideas to support assigned game and its social community. Manages customer engagement, fan voice amplification, and manages strategic influencer relationships.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Oversees day to day activities for ArenaNet’s Partner Program.
- Manages assigned social media channels.
- Contributes to team brainstorming and campaign planning.
- Executes social and community engagement initiatives across social media channels and web
- Partners with Production and other team members to develop processes and tools to enable scalable programs; manages initiatives with internal stakeholders and external influencers.
- Creates and manages programs to engage and foster relationships with key influencers.
- Spreads our message to reach their audiences and networks.
- Manages and coordinates internal and external communication with key stakeholders and influencers; ensures a smooth integration of external content into studio strategies.
- Contributes to regular community and marketing team reports regarding player feedback, sentiment and trends, and campaign performance.
- Assists with fan event planning.
- Participates in an on-call rotation to coordinate emergency messaging when required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in community management, influencer marketing, or social media management
- Two years of experience working in a professional game development or publishing environment
- Ability to work and coordinate with Community team members
- Works collaboratively with marketing and studio teams
- Awareness and understanding of current and emerging social media platforms & influencer trends
- Experience developing / executing content strategy across social media channels
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Superior attention to detail with strong organizational, project management, coordination, and multi-tasking skills
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and consistency of message including adhering to brand standards and overall communication strategy
- Strong understanding of online communities, including gaming and creative communities
- Strong understanding of web and social media technologies
- Analytical and curious – interested in exploring new ways to communicate and measure engagement
- Fluency in French, German, Spanish, or Korean a plus
- Travel may be required several times a year for specific industry or business events.
We are open to remote work in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, MA, MD, NC, NV, NY OR, TX, UT and WA or onsite/hybrid/flex at our office in Bellevue, WA.
Total compensation is salary plus an annual bonus potential. Please note that the listed pay range is a general guideline only. We take into consideration the geography in which you live and your experience and qualifications when determining final salary. This role is also eligible for medical, dental, vision and life insurance, short and long term disability, 401(k), flexible and dependent care spending accounts, PTO, paid holidays and parental leave.
