GetMega is founded by two Computer Sciences Undergraduates from IIT Kanpur who have previously run and sold VC funded startup in the logistics domain. We are based out of Bengaluru, India and have raised multi-million dollar funding from Top-Tier Institutional Venture Capitalists to disrupt the multi-billion dollar skill based gaming market around the world.


If you switch across social media channels faster than the channels on your TV remote, if you dream of viruses (making posts viral we mean), if you eat-sleep-breathe memes, trends & influencers, we need to talk!  We are looking for a crazily talented & committed Social Media Manager who’ll own our existing & planned SM channels, and deliver explosive growth across those channels in a short span of time - with the eventual goal of converting those social followers into qualified leads and new business. Values of the Social Media lead

Be trendy: You’ll sniff out social media trends faster than a bloodhound, and beat our competition to it. You’ll also be ahead of the curve, by anticipating upcoming trends & styles, and ensuring our campaigns & posts are in sync with them.
Remote control: You’ll own, build and grow our brand presence across all important channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Medium, Quora, Reddit and more.
Own & Deliver: You will set up benchmarks, monitor all campaigns & posts across all channels closely, and ensure all the content adheres to our brand guidelines and tonality.
Digital Ninja: You’ll be present everywhere - digitally, and observe, analyse & understand what's happening in the digital media. You’ll also engage in “social listening” wherever GetMega is being mentioned - across communities and channels.
Communication is a 2-way street: You’ll engage with consumers by monitoring conversations and managing responses on social platforms & other online portals. You’ll also respond promptly to business or product enquiries across our social channels.

What would you be doing?

    • Bring our brand to life across multiple channels, by connecting with our customers and building content & creatives that deeply resonate with them.
    • Strategize with channel SM managers, and accelerate the growth of channels by 10x.
    • Creating engaging and innovative viral content which engages audiences and promotes brand-focused messages.
    • Brainstorm and device unique social media strategies and experiments to gain new audiences and grow exponentially.
    • Dig into dashboards and fish out insights that help unravel our audience and their behaviour.
    • Imagine, iterate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily across all our social media channels.
    • Influencing us with your ideas is just the first step. Our competition is obviously cut-throat, so watch them like a hawk.
    • Track our brand reputation online by listening, monitoring and obviously jumping in to manage our rep.
    • Proactively manage relationships with various influencers and brands
    • Consume a plethora of content from different brands and influencers across the spectrum and stay updated with everything social.

Superpowers you’ll need to be a success in this role

    • Drive brand awareness, engagement and positive brand sentiment online.
    • Conceptualise crazy yet effective social media campaigns, and push good creatives to great
    • Slip into our customers' shoes and intuitively make decisions aligned with their social media consumption patterns.
    • Solve problems; develop & execute objectives with minimal direction.
    • Master’s degree in marketing, advertising, or mass communication (preferably from a premier institute).
    • 7-8 years of experience in social media management / leadership, preferably in related industries (gaming, media & entertainment, apps, startups).
