Summary
Ludia, a leading mobile video game studio in Canada, is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to produce VFX in a 2D and 3D environment, design high-quality 3D graphics animations, and produce game effects in 2D and 3D. The ideal candidate should have a degree in art/graphics or equivalent, good knowledge of Photoshop CS, excellent command of animation principles, and at least 1 title published on mobile platform. They should also have good knowledge of 3Ds Max or Maya, Unity or other game engine, and be willing to give and take direction and participate in multiple tasks. What will be your challenge as a VFX Artist at Ludia?
Produce VFX in a 2D and 3D environment;
Designing high quality 3D graphics animations that will enhance the player's experience;
Produce game effects in 2D and 3D;
Good knowledge of texture and sprite creation;
Assist in creating the foundation for particle systems in Unity;
Optimize the integration of assets in Unity;
Work with the art team to understand the project's objective;
Work with Game Designers, 3D Artists and other team members to resolve technical issues;
Participate actively in creative team sessions;
Contribute to the level of excellence required by our projects;
Follow up on the work done to correct any bugs.

Quel sera ton défi en tant qu'Artiste VFX chez Ludia?
Produire des VFX dans un environnement 2D et 3D;
Concevoir des animations graphiques 3D de qualité élevée qui rehausseront l’expérience du joueur;
Produire des effets de jeu en 2D et 3D;
Bonne connaissance de la création de textures et de sprites sheet;
Aider à créer les fondations des systèmes de particules dans Unity;
Optimiser l'intégration des assets dans Unity;
Travailler de concert avec l’équipe artistique afin de bien comprendre l’objectif du projet;
Travailler avec les Game Designers, les Artistes 3D et les autres membres de l’équipe afin de résoudre les problèmes techniques;
Participer activement aux sessions créatives en équipe;
Contribuer au niveau d’excellence requis par nos projets;
Faire un suivi du travail effectué afin de corriger les bugs éventuels.
What we are looking for:
- Degree in art/graphics or equivalent;
- Good knowledge of Photoshop CS;
- Excellent command of animation principles;
- At least 1 title published on mobile platform;
- Good knowledge of 3Ds Max or Maya;
- Good knowledge of Unity or other game engine;
- Willingness to give and take direction and participate in multiple tasks;
- Be a responsible and autonomous worker;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Positive attitude and ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
- Bonus if you have :
- Excellent knowledge of the game production or real-time animation world;
- Knowledge of the C# language and shaders;
- Bilingualism (French and English).
Ce que nous recherchons :

- Être un travailleur responsable et autonome;
- Faire preuve de fortes qualités organisationnelles;
- Excellente communication et aptitudes interpersonnelles;
- Attitude positive et capacité à donner et recevoir des critiques constructives.
- Bonus si tu as :
- Excellente connaissance de l’univers de la production de jeux ou d’animation en temps réel;
- Connaissance du langage C# et des shaders;
- Bilinguisme (Français et Anglais).
