Role overview:

As the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning, you will be joining PlayStation's Global Supply Chain Organisation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build a comprehensive understanding of Sony PlayStation’s Supply Chain operations. This highly analytical role requires the ability to deliver solutions that improve the fulfilment capabilities of the supply chain in alignment with the sales plans. 

What you'll be doing: 

Leadership

  • Manage a team of Supply Chain Planners in EMEA and support the fulfilment of sales plan within the region
  • Align with Supply Chain leadership on the FG safety stock parameters and strategy being defined and be able to articulate the corresponding impact on E&O risks as well as supply availability.
  • Communicate and influence EMEA sales leadership on the Supply Chain FG requirements that would best support the fulfilment of sales plans in the region

Supply Planning

  • Collaborate with Warehouse Operations, Operations Program Management, and Supplier Management team on build of material and management within SAP-IBP system
  • Provide warehouses with weekly/monthly/quarterly forecast of inbound materials and production demand and assess risks on factors including labor capacity, space capacity, and inbound build of material timing.
  • Manage transfer of finished goods and supporting components across Sony warehouses (PlayStation Direct, LATAM/US/CAN 3PLs)

Sales Allocation Management

  • Review and analyse sales forecast and inventory data and take action to create the most optimal weekly production schedule with minimum inventory exposure.
  • Assess risks and gaps within the production schedule and communicate appropriately within the Sales organisation through daily & weekly reporting
  • Drive scenario analysis discussions on finished goods supply chain capabilities that provide clarity to sales on the plans that set for the corresponding month/quarter/year.

MRP Management

  • Manage and influence delivery time parameters within SAP material master with supplier management team to enable accurate MRP weekly/daily runs
  • Collaborate with Logistics team on transit time assumptions and input into SAP system, daily/weekly reporting, and planning models
  • Provide inputs and influence the supplier management team on the safety stock guidelines set up in SAP at the component level.

What we're looking for: 

  • Proven senior years of experience in managing a team of direct reports.
  • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience. APICS certification is a plus
  • Experience in utilising SAP ERP system (SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, SAP Business Objects, & SAP IBP)
  • Broad knowledge of sourcing, MRP buying & planning, material master planning, product allocation, and manufacturing process
  • Strong knowledge of supply and/or demand planning process within consumer-packaged goods industry or video game industry is a plus
  • Data savvy with the ability to drill down and identify key drivers and communicate insightful, practical recommendations
