The role @ Sumo
We are looking for a passionate Senior Game Designer to join Sumo Digital on an exciting multi-platform original IP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a designer with experience in systems design on live games to work on a premium AAA title across all platforms.
In your new role you will:
- Report to the Lead Designer, within the context of the Creative Vision (Game Pillars & Target Audience), oversee the design, implementation and iteration of core game systems, features & events.
- Use data and community feedback to shape and develop an exciting roadmap for our players to enjoy.
- Demonstrate your mastery of the design craft by adhering to strong processes that ensure collaboration and communication are a key part of your design toolbox.
- Be the champion of quality for multiple feature designs; executing the vision of the product vision.
- Mentor junior design team members.
To be successful you will have:
- A proven track record of designing systems and events on a live title.
- A solid understanding of how to shape a roadmap based on the game vision, player data and community feedback.
- An open communication style underpinned by objective analysis and a desire to motivate/inspire those around you.
- A passionate love of gaming and a strong understanding of modern gaming trends, especially those in the mass-market F2P space
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
