What We Need:

We are looking for a Senior Character Technical Artists to join our Tech Art team. In this role you will be responsible for bringing characters to life. The primary focus will be to research, develop and implement new technologies to take our facial performance to the next level.

WWE2K is an exciting and challenging game franchise with a diverse set of features and requirements. You will grow and develop in many different areas, learning from a highly skilled team while working on ground breaking technology. We are open to candidates from all industries who have a passion for games. A list of qualifications is provided below, but please do not hesitate to apply if you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Creates high quality face shapes using FACS
  • Become a major partner of our Character production.
  • Proactively recommend and test implementation of pipeline changes.
  • Collaborate with artists and engineers to develop a system for texture maps and improve the face rig
  • Mentor and give feedback to artists and outsource partners to reach aesthetic goals.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of our software and systems.
  • Troubleshoot character issues and provide user support
  • Write and maintain documentation
  • Communicate with leads and producers to meet delivery deadlines

 

Who Will Be A Great Fit:

  • 6+ years working as modeler with a focus on human anatomy
  • Deep knowledge of face and body topology, anatomy and rigging solutions
  • Experience researching, piloting, and implementing new techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Scan data and facial capture for performance capture
  • Able to take direction and work independently while being a great teammate
  • Love for video games (not just ours!)

 

Might Be Nice:

  • Experience with Shotgrid, Perforce, Jira, Confluence
  • End-to-end knowledge of game production processes
  • Skills in rigging and geometry deformations a plus
  • Experience with Grooming workflows (x-gen), and understanding game limitations of hair systems
  • Hyper-realistic likeness face sculpting from photo and video reference
