The job is for a Senior Back-end Programmer to work with top-performing games in Rovio's Stockholm Studio. Job description

We are now looking for a Senior Back-end Programmer to join our talented Stockholm Studio to work with our top performing games. You will be working closely with pragmatic server and client programmers, designing and implementing scalable architectures. The team believes in well-crafted software that increases the product value without compromising the productivity. Clean code, test driven development (TDD) and SOLID principles are a reality, applied to any project. Continuous improvement is a priority and the team is always eager to learn new technologies that help our growth.

Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement and test game backend functionality for games using C# and .Net Core
    • Create, maintain and operate the game server cloud infrastructures
    • Ensure that game backends are efficient, secure and scale well
    • Integrate other cloud services to game servers
    • Participate in designing client/backend solutions
    • Work as a team with other developers, designers and artists

Who we think will do great in this role has:

    • Minimum 5 years of server programming experience leading to mastery of relevant skills and technologies
    • Good knowledge and experience of cloud platforms and related technologies, for example AWS and Kubernetes
    • Experience in Rest-API based services (+1 for experience with real time servers)
    • Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
    • Strong programming skills using C#
    • Understanding of game architectures and technologies
    • Experienced either with playing or working with games
