Senior Activity Planning Manager
San Mateo, CA (collab) or Fully Remote, US
Role overview:
Join SIE's outstanding Commercial Management team, responsible for the coordination of the commercial activity plans within Channel sales at Sony PlayStation! This is an exciting opportunity on a growing team, working closely with commercial groups in hubs and territories, who will support the delivery of our global channel critical metrics.
This person will lead and manage all processes, templates, as well as meetings & forums to ensure efficient and effective communication. The right candidate will be flexible to evolving responsibilities aligned to the changing needs of this business unit as we grow and expand!
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure delivery of assigned product briefs and activity plans, including but not limited to key 3rd party products
- Work with hub and territory teams, and other cross-functional groups (such as Global Marketing, Services, Sales, Planning & Analysis, and Channel Experience) to ensure all information and details are relevant, accurate, submitted in a timely manner and ready for review by CS leadership as required.
- Take the activity plan to deliver key achievements in our commercial go-to-market strategy, including but not limited to:
- Software announcements, pre-orders, launches and lifecycles
- Hardware & Peripheral launches, promotions, and bundle management
- Work cross functionally with SIE partners to secure one clear plan for our varying territories
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings as needed to all teams are communicating and up to date on the latest GTM plans, sharing any reporting updates, strategy changes, and other executive decision-making when appropriate
- Use data-driven insights and develop commercial opportunities with hubs and territory teams.
- Monitor process effectiveness and efficiency, and identify improvements as needed, or champion existing best practices/processes, while the team continues to grow and expand with the changing needs of the business unit
- Some domestic and/or international travel may be required
What we are looking for:
- At least 6 years of commercial experience in a related field preferably, but with knowledge and familiarity of other areas of business, such as Marketing
- Proven track record in strategy development and execution, ideally demonstrating a solid understanding of retailer dynamics, market landscape, and GTM needs to execute with excellence
- Experience working with or at agencies a plus, demonstrating a service-oriented approach to the role
- Knowledgeable about 3rd party products and activities
- Clear thinking with excellent organizational skills
- Ability and desire to create positive relationships and collaborate effectively at all levels in a cross-functional team environment and on a global scale
- Confident, takes initiative in ambiguous situations, able to demonstrate impact and alignment across multiple teams while driving complex projects
- Strong communicator, comfortable with senior leadership and executive presentations, interaction, challenge, and respectful debate
- Use data to influence and inform sound judgement and business decisions
- Operate at pace with both long term and immediate priorities
- PC software skills should include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
