Summary
Auroch Digital is looking for a Producer to join their growing team to work on exciting new games projects! This role will predominantly be remote within the UK. The Producer will be responsible for managing a development team, facilitating production meetings, co-creating and maintaining schedules and forecasting tools, identifying improved ways of working, working with age ratings boards for submissions, using task management software, liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders, and understanding the value of a particular task or project. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Associate Producer or Producer within the Games Industry, good communication and interpersonal skills, and be highly organized and motivated by helping teams meet their goals. Desirable qualifications include having shipped 1 or more console titles, an interest in/or knowledge of discussion about ‘Applied Gaming’, and a passion for games. Job description
Are you a Producer who's passionate about helping your development team get the information, direction and support they need to make the best possible game with the resources and time they have? You work with the team to co-plan the game project from pre-production to completion. You'll ensure that the team functions in a manner where everyone supports each other and is given the freedom and responsibility to take charge of and successfully deliver their tasks to agreed standards. Communication is important, especially the ability to communicate the game vision to others.
Auroch are part of the Sumo Group of companies, originally established in 2010 and with an extensive catalogue, including Brewmaster, Mars Horizon, and Dark Future: Blood Red States. We have an exciting stable of licensed and independent IP games in development including our upcoming retro shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. Your role @ Auroch Digital:
We are looking for a Producer to join our growing team to work on exciting new games projects! We are open to applications from both experienced mid-level Producers and experienced Associate Producers. Producers will be given onboarding with the systems we use internally at Auroch Digital, trained in our methodology, and mentored to help them advance in skills and knowledge.
This role will predominantly be remote within the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a development team (either as the experienced producer or with the support of a mentor)
- Facilitating production meetings
- Assisting the production team as a whole
- Co-creation and maintenance of schedules and forecasting tools with the development team
- Identifying, in collaboration with other team members, improved ways of working
- Working with age ratings boards for submissions
- Using task management software
- Working with localisation companies
- Playtesting and recording gameplay
- Liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders
- Being the touchpoint for the project between the development, marketing, and business teams
- Understanding the value of a particular task or project, and adapting production approaches accordingly
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Associate Producer or Producer within the Games Industry
- Experience in PC/Console Game Development
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised and with good organisational skills
- Motivated by helping teams meet their goals
- Comfortable with data-driven development
- Basic maths skills
Desirables:
- Shipped 1 or more console titles
- Interest in/or knowledge of discussion about ‘Applied Gaming’
- Passion for games
- Interest in management games
