Outsourcing Manager

Job Overview

World of Tanks is looking for a motivated and skilled Outsourcing Manager for Vilnius Studio to help the development team coordinate and support our outsourcing and outstaffing effort. Your goal will be to set up and maintain a highly effective collaboration, contributing to the legendary World of Tanks game.

What will you do?

• Manage a cross-functional team consisting of representatives of PM, Art and QA departments

• Act as the main contact point for outsourcing and outstaffing development for both internal teams in different locations and external partners

• Provide the service of external development within Art, QA and Engineering domain to internal teams in different locations

• Take full responsibility for outsourcing in the engineering domain, including analysis of vendors, selection and hiring of contractors, their distribution to teams, quality control and etc.

• Collaborate with the Head of Development, Development Directors of locations and Producers to evaluate production needs of internal teams in the services of external partner-studios to deliver the roadmap goals on time and with the required quality

• Maintain effective partnership and collaboration with external partner-studios to ensure timely strengthening and support of internal teams

• Assist in solving unique problems in the product development. At an early stage identify potential risks as well as obstacles and bottlenecks in development and eliminate them

• Own, plan and control the budget of external costs of product development

What are we looking for?

• 3+ years in game development

• Experience in managing cross-functional development teams with the track record of successful projects execution on time and with the required quality

• Experience in cooperation with external partner-studios (outsourcing, outstaffing)

• Good understanding of the game development process, dealing with main problems that occur during production and ability to effectively solve them

• Proven experience in improving production processes

• Experience in budget management and control

• English: Pre-advacnced level

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience in Engineering management and programming (preferably C++, Python, JS)

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, common sense, ability to build rapport with different stakeholders.
