Wizards of the Coast is offering a 10-week paid internship program for college and university students to gain work experience and insights into their products. The intern will support the Partnership Manager in cultivating relationships with industry partners to ensure wide-scale accessibility and volume for Magic play. The intern will also develop engaging programs and experiences that will appeal to existing and new audiences, collaborate with internal teams to integrate partner programs into the broader Wizards’ business, and maintain knowledge of the global competitive landscape. The ideal candidate should be currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-seeking program majoring in business, event or hospitality management, project management, creative arts, or related degree with at least one quarter or semester left after August 2023. Strong communication and negotiation skills, organizational skills, and the ability to execute on a deadline are required. The internship program runs between June 12 - August 18, 2023, and the intern must be available to work full-time hours for 10 weeks. About the Internship Program:

Over the course of 10 weeks, a select group of college and university students will join us remotely, gaining valuable work experiences and insights into our most exciting products. Interns engage with Wizards’ beloved brands, gaining meaningful work-experience through day-to-day training, hands-on projects, executive exposure, individual development planning and mentorship.   • Our program runs between June 12 - August 18, 2023.

What you'll do:

  • Support Partnership Manager with being responsible for the dynamic Play Partnerships group who activates partners to create play on a global scale.
  • Strive to ensure the team provides outstanding programs that deliver a strong return against business objectives and reflect Wizards’ values.
  • Assist in orchestrating the strategic vision for partner programs, cultivating relationships with industry partners to ensure wide scale accessibility and volume for Magic play.
  • Evolve the Magic play offerings. Look for new structures and innovative, meaningful experiences across all types of play. Develop engaging programs and experiences that will appeal to existing and new audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate partner programs into the broader Wizards’ business such as licensing, connectivity to digital products, marketing, social media plans, etc.
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of the global competitive landscape, including awareness of industry, its trends, competitive intelligence and standard methodologies.

What You'll bring:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-seeking program majoring in business, event or hospitality management, project management, creative arts or related degree with at least one quarter or semester left after August 2023.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to execute on a deadline.
  • Available to work full-time hours for 10 weeks.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
