Regional Human Resources Manager (Australia & New Zealand)

Sydney, Australia (hybrid)

You are a People specialist. You instinctively build relationships and bridge gaps. You equally excel at onboarding new hires, addressing employee queries and coaching leaders. You enjoy the challenge of working on local projects as well as global initiatives. You look forward to partnering with peers around the world to deliver phenomenal experiences for employees. You are also an expert on Australian & New Zealand employment laws to properly advise your teammates. If you love helping people, have a strong bias for action, and a natural curiosity to learn new things, we need you on our dynamic HR APAC team.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Deliver end-to-end HR services as a standalone country lead.
  • Own ANZ talent acquisition and onboarding including newcomer orientation, contract generation, work pass applications, and background checks.
  • Assist ANZ Managers in resolving all employee relations and performance management matters.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to deliver global programs within ANZ including total rewards; learning & development; talent management; and diversity, equity & inclusion.
  • Serve as a Regional HR project coordinator on global and APAC projects including areas such as HR Policy development, system migrations, payroll transformation, and annual budget planning.
  • Work in a hyperscale environment, and coordinate with team members across multiple time zones, respond promptly to requests, and maintain alignment with project milestones and goals.

Required Knowledge / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Successful track record of partnering with senior leaders
  • 8+ years previous experience in HR in a fast-paced, globally matrixed environment
  • Strong employment compliance knowledge with ability to interpret and guide employment matters, manage grievances, and investigations in alignment with local employment law and regulations
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to effectively collaborate and engage with colleagues across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience and familiarity with WorkDay system is useful
