Improbable is looking for a graduate software engineer to join their metaverse group, which helps partners realize their metaverse ambitions. The role involves contributing to the development of games and metaverse experiences using their Morpheus Technology, working on various metaverse projects using the M2 Platform ecosystem, and learning and excelling at a variety of industry-standard and cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer Science or other STEM subjects, a passion for DevOps, LiveOps, Web Development or Web 3, knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Go, C#, Typescript, and Java, and an appreciation for productive software engineering. Job description
Our metaverse group helps our partners realise their metaverse ambitions. The team’s expertise encompasses creative (concept and design), production (art and content), engineering (game development and Web3) and operations (dev and live).
At Improbable, you’ll collaborate with some of the best in the industry. Together, you’ll create unique, tailored experiences that stretch the boundaries of what’s possible in digital spaces and virtual worlds – and help define what the metaverse can be.
As a graduate Software Engineer you will be helping us build the next generation of games and metaverse experiences using our Morpheus Technology.

Your Opportunity:
- Contribute to defining the next generation of deeply interactive online experiences, and assist us in creating games that allow for new depths of simulation, social interaction and physical interaction at an unprecedented scale.
- Work on various metaverse projects using the M2 Platform ecosystem.
- Learn and excel at a variety of industry-standard and cutting-edge technologies like Python, Typescript, React, Docker, Cloud Native Infrastructure, Kubernetes, Bash, Golang, Terraform, C++, Web3 / Crypto.
- Work across multiple disciplines such as Web Development, Game Server Hosting, Infrastructure Development, System Operations, DevOps, and Game Development.
- Learn from and be mentored by world-class software engineers and tech specialists.
- Work on fast-paced products and projects, tackling complex problems in the metaverse space.
- Build and operate massive-scale systems and metaverse events
Why you were made for this:
- You're undertaking a degree in Computer Science or other STEM subjects.
- You have a passion for DevOps, LiveOps, Web Development or Web 3.
- You have a genuine interest in solving problems for our customers.
- You have knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Go, C#, Typescript, and Java and their paradigms, or a burning desire to learn and master them.
- You have an appreciation for productive software engineering including Building, Testing, Tooling, IDE mastery etc.
- You have a demonstrable interest and passion for development (e.g. personal projects, blogs, Open Source projects etc).
- You have algorithmic and data structures knowledge.
