We recently released HUMANKIND™, a historical strategy epic where players combine cultures and lead their people from the Bronze to the Modern age. 

We’re also well known for our critically acclaimed ENDLESS™ series, played by millions worldwide, including ENDLESS™ Space, ENDLESS™ Legend, Dungeon of the ENDLESS™, and ENDLESS™  Space 2. Our next title will be ENDLESS™ Dungeon, a squad-based rogue-lite tactical action game.

Job Description  

We are looking for a Game Director (permanent contract) to translate the creative vision into a captivating experience for our players on our new unannounced project.  

Under the supervision of the Creative Director, and in close collaboration with all creative managers, you will be responsible for: 

  • Co-defining the vision for the project and its future: high level intentions and key game systems. 
  • Ensuring the implementation of these directions in the game through close collaboration with and constant support to production teams. 
  • Reviewing and validating all creative deliverables related to the game: gameplay prototypes, concept art, narrative events, voice lines, audio, UI etc. 
  • Promoting the vision of the game within the studio and to third parties. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Translating the creative vision into concrete game intentions, systems and mechanics. 
  • Managing the Lead Game Designer of the project. 
  • Defining clear high level creative goals and engaging creative / production teams and project stakeholders around them. 
  • Closely collaborating with marketing on live timelines and content scheduling / prioritization. 
  • Adapting to technical and production constraints as well as playtest results, readjusting your design direction as needed.  

 Required experience  

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.  
  • 10+ years of experience and at least 4+ years in a similar or relevant position. 
  • Significant experience in Game Design and in managerial & creative positions. 

 Required skills and profile  

  •  Fully fluent or native in English and French. 
  • Knowledge and interest in strategy video games. 
  • Creative skills and ability to form an informed critical judgment on artistic direction and game design. 
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to run a complex and long-lasting project involving multiple parties. 
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and interact with a large variety of profiles (developers, external partners, players community, journalists). 
  • Proactivity in spotting opportunities or potential issues ahead of time and proposing appropriate solutions. 
  • Ability to synthesize and solve problems 
  •  Ability to listen   
  •  Ability to federate & maintain a vision

Détails du poste 

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Game Director en contrat à durée indéterminée pour traduire la vision créative en expérience captivante pour nos joueurs.euses sur un projet non-annoncé.   

Sous la supervision du Directeur Créatif, vous serez chargé(e) de : 

  • Co-définir la vision du projet et son futur : design haut niveau et principaux systèmes de jeu. 
  • Assurer la mise en œuvre de la direction créative, afin d’apporter la vision et le soutien nécessaire aux équipes de production, avec qui vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration.  
  • Examiner et valider tous les livrables créatifs liés au jeu : prototypes de gameplay, concept art, événements narratifs, audio, interface utilisateur, etc. 
  • Promouvoir la vision du jeu au sein et à l’extérieur du studio. 

Vos missions principales seront les suivantes : 

  • Traduire la vision créative en intentions design, et en systèmes et mécaniques de jeu. 
  • Manager le Lead Game Designer. 
  • Définir des objectifs créatifs de haut niveau sur le jeu et rassembler les équipes de production et les différentes parties prenantes autour de cette vision.  
  • Collaborer étroitement avec le marketing sur le calendrier Live et sur la planification et la hiérarchisation du contenu.  
  • S’adapter aux contraintes techniques et de production, aux commentaires et aux résultats des playtests, en réajustant la direction créative si nécessaire. 

 Expérience requise  

  •  BAC+3 minimum dans un domaine pertinent  
  • Au moins 10 ans d’expérience dont 4 ans à un poste similaire ou équivalent 
  • Expérience significative en Game Design et sur des postes à responsabilités managériales & créatives  

 Profil recherché 

  •  Bilingue Français/Anglais  
  • Connaissance et intérêt pour les jeux de stratégie  
  • Compétences créatives et capacité à former un jugement éclairé sur une direction artistique et un design de jeu  
  • Souci du détail et sens de l'organisation 
  • Capacité à gérer un projet complexe et de longue durée impliquant plusieurs parties prenantes 
  • Capacité à travailler au sein d'une équipe et à interagir avec une grande variété de profils
