Magic Leap is looking for Ph.D. , Masters, or Bachelors students to join our team for a 3 month Summer Program for students who are underrepresented in the field of Engineering/Computing. Job Description:
Magic Leap is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to join the hardware development team working on augmented reality technology advancements. In this role you will be working with hardware teams interfacing with imaging, sensing, electro/optical systems, displays and other complex systems. This intern will be responsible for supporting product development projects which may influence future Magic Leap devices. Join our team developing next-generation technology for mixed-reality devices in an Agile hardware environment.
This internship will begin in June 2023 and requires physical presence at Magic Leap's headquarters in Plantation, Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Work along with team members and mentors in the EE team
- Research and development of new technologies
- Rapid prototyping including firmware bring up
- Participate in system design
- Troubleshooting board issues and conducting tests at system level
- Rapid prototyping including firmware bring up
- Collaborate with other teams to resolve cross functional issues.
- Develop test plans, Conduct testing, and report generation
- Use of electronic equipment (oscilloscope, multimeters, power supplier, and others)
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Cadence or other schematics/layout tool
- Experience with I2C, SPI, and UART communication
- Good troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Solid understanding of Digital and Analog Design
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must work well with interdisciplinary groups
Education:
- Pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering or related fields preferred (Computer Engineering or other).
