Job description
Key Purpose of the Job:
The I/O Assistant is part of the studio’s I/O team; reporting into the I/O Supervisor, they autonomously assist various groups throughout the facility with complex challenges regarding data being ingested, published and transferred to and from our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
● Downloading material from the client’s servers and processing scans
● Validating/QC-ing processed scans and other material
● Informing show production teams/Editors that material is available for ingest
● Validating material which is scheduled for upload
● Uploading material to client’s servers
● Working with Production and Editorial to ensure that you have a good working knowledge of all the shows
formats, understanding what’s being ingested and what’s being delivered back to the client
● Publishing material into the DNEG pipeline
Skills and Abilities:
● Proficient in Linux and running command line scripts and tools
● Familiar with film cameras, recording formats, aspect ratio
● Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise I/O issues as they arise
● Previous experience working within an Editorial or I/O team an asset
● Ability to work with high volumes of data
● Impeccable accuracy and attention to detail
