Job description
As the Associate Creative Director for Consumer Products, you will be the tip of the spear to define the creative vision for Licensing, Publications, and Consumer Products at Bungie! You will lead the creative team to develop innovative products that inspire players, maintain brand integrity, and align with business goals. By giving clear direction and feedback, you will enable the internal team and external partners to deliver their best work. Using your expertise within the industry, you will participate directly in projects at the early stages to set the quality bar and kickstart creative ideation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Director of Consumer Products and Creative Studios Leadership Team to define creative standards for all of Bungie’s merchandise and collectibles.
- Direct the creation of Consumer Products style guides and creative assets that will be utilized by internal and external teams in a clear and effective format.
- Communicate the creative vision across all the team’s members and partners.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure licensees have the necessary assets to bring merchandise offerings to life based on Film/TV, Game, and other business initiatives on a defined schedule.
- Manage the resourcing of tasks through thoughtful delegation based on skill and capabilities of the broader team.
- Manage relationships and creative projects with strong planning and negotiation skills to ensure deliverables stay on budget and on schedule.
- Direct the design of marketing materials, catalogues, sales presentations, and tradeshow materials to support global consumer products commercial initiatives.
- Understand how creative decisions impact budget and timelines and be a point of escalation and problem solving when issues in this area need to be addressed.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Previous experience leading creative teams working in consumer products or licensed merchandise.
- Proven ability to drive a cohesive design vision while managing a scope that supports a healthy environment.
- Ability to create and maintain a collaborative environment across multiple craft disciplines.
- Level-headed approach to change management, conflict resolution and patience through the fluctuating creative development process
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills, as well as advanced knowledge of Adobe CC products
- Innovative creative mind that proactively seeks out new, better ways forward
- Social intelligence, great interpersonal skills, and empathy for creative teams
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Professional art or design experience in games, entertainment, ecommerce, or marketing
- Experience with Figma
- Familiarity working with multiple franchises and established IPs.
- Passion for consumer products or collectibles
- Familiarity with Bungie's current and past releases
