NC America, a newly formed subsidiary of the massive $6bn gaming company NCSOFT, is looking for a Community Manager. The Community Manager’s key objective is to concept and execute engagement strategies that aim to grow, strengthen and excite our community of players. This individual will be responsible for creating and managing content across our key communication channels, building relationships with the players that frequent these channels and serving as the voice of our players to the Development Teams. By leveraging social media and other communication tools, the Community Manager will work to positively impact overall sentiment towards our games. This role will also be expected to work closely with other internal teams to surface trends, discuss opportunities and areas of improvement in order to provide the highest quality experience for our players, both in-game and out of game.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Execute social and community engagement initiatives across key communication channels (social media, website, forums)
- Build, manage and cultivate relationships with community of players on various platforms such as social media, forums and Discord.
- Write engaging content to promote game updates, events and promotions.
- Monitor player feedback, sentiment and trends and provide ongoing analysis and reporting to inform game development decisions
- Work closely with the LiveOps and Development teams to identify and action core issues or opportunities
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- 2+ years of previous experience in a Community Management or similar role, preferably within the video games industry
- A passion for games and a knowledge of the MMORPG ecosystem
- Experience developing / executing content strategy across social media and web platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in social media writing and best practices
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to adapt to changes quickly, take initiative and “get things done” approach
PLUSES
- Analytical and curious – interested in exploring new ways to communicate and measure engagement
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Prior knowledge of NCSOFT games
- Experience with video and streaming platforms, such as Twitch and YouTube
Total compensation is salary plus annual bonus potential. Please note that the listed pay range is a general guideline only. We take into consideration your experience and qualifications when determining final salary.
