Business Systems Developer

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic programmer to join our Online Services Internal team. Your role will be support the operations and wider teams to develop software and systems to improve and streamline business processes. This will involve building desktop software and web applications, using databases (SQL Server/MySQL) and Rest APIs from internal systems (Confluence, JIRA, Hansoft) or external hosted systems (SaaS). Candidates will be expected to collaborate with other departments in Frontier, such as IT and HR, to ensure that these systems integrate with other data sources and applications.

Responsibilities:

    • Help develop and maintain Frontier's growing portfolio of Intranet and internal business software
    • Contribute to the specification and integration of 3rd party software with Frontier's corporate data

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

    • Essential 
    • Experience programming desktop applications with C#
    • Experience of working with relational databases, such as SQL Server or MySQL
    • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline e.g. Computer Science, Maths or Engineering or equivalent is essential.

    • Desirable:
    • Experience of working with servers
    • Experience programming server-side in a dynamically typed scripting language, such as Python, PHP, JavaScript, Ruby or Go
    • Experience of working with APIs
    • Experience of developing and maintaining data export, transform & load pipelines
    • An understanding of configuring & managing Windows & Linux operating systems, and software packages deployed to them
    • Experience of using SQL Server's wider toolset, including Integration Services
