Job description

We are looking for a passionate and talented 3D Generalist to join us for the summer of 2023. In this position you would be working with assets in Unity for one of our games in development working as a part of the game’s art team. The two areas of focus for this position would be getting assets to work correctly as they are integrated into the game and working with the Unity timeline for the animated characters in the game. This is a paid internship for 3 months with the salary of 2300€ per month. Unfortunately we are unable to provide relocation support for internship roles.

What your days will look like:

    • Creating 3D models, textures and shaders
    • Importing assets into the Unity game project
    • Testing and debugging assets in Unity
    • Using Unity timeline to build sequences of character animations

Who we think will do great in this role has:

    • Has a great looking portfolio that demonstrates the skills needed for this position
    • Proficient in spoken and written English 
    • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a larger team
    • Fluent in Unity and Maya 
    • Ability to learn and willingness to learn new things

We’d love it if you have some of these bonus skills:

    • Experience with procedural and PBR materials
    • Prior game art experience
    • Experience with character animation for games
    • Experience with Git or other version control system

Recruitment process:

    • Call with the Talent Partner: This is a call to talk about your motivations and interests in general and to get to know a bit about Rovio.
    • First meeting: You will meet the hiring manager. Before diving deeper into your skills, we want to know who you are and what motivates you. This is also an opportunity for you to learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role.
    • Art Test: You will receive a test. We send it to all candidates who get through our initial screening process. This screening is done primarily based on your Portfolio, CV and Cover letter.
    • Final round: You will be invited to meet the team lead and team member(s). Our aim is to get a clear overview of your skills, how you would fit with our working culture, your ambitions and where we can help you develop.
