We have achieved serial successes across a wide variety of titles including Elite DangerousPlanet CoasterJurassic World Evolution and Planet Zoo. We are continuing to grow our team to support our existing portfolio and an exciting and ambitious future roadmap, which includes the development of both own-IP titles and licensed-IP titles. Our IP-license partners include Universal (Jurassic World), Formula 1 and Games Workshop (Warhammer).We are also growing our team to continue the expansion of Frontier Foundry, our publishing label for games developed by carefully selected partner studios. 
 
We have a modern spacious studio located on the Cambridge Science Park in the heart of the Cambridge tech hub. For those who wish to relocate to the Cambridge area and work either entirely in the studio or flexibly between the studio and home, we can provide generous financial and practical support to facilitate your move. We are also able to offer remote working for those who would prefer to work almost exclusively from home or who are unable to relocate. We can discuss your preferences with you during the recruitment process.   

Purpose of the role
As part of our continued growth we have an opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our friendly and passionate team, and support our growing studio. Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Business Partner will add value by influencing, leading, and shaping the people strategy.  Working closely with the designated client group and wider HR and Talent team, the HRBP will take responsibility for the implementation and success of HR initiatives and policies, including but not limited to leadership development, organisational development, employee relations and change processes.
 

Responsibilities

    • Work proactively with other teams to gain a solid understanding of the key business drivers
    • Line manage a small HR team within your work stream, including HR Advisors and Assistants
    • Work with the HR Advisors to anticipate HR related issues and proactively address employee matters. 
    • Analyse trends and metrics to develop appropriate solutions
    • Build and sustain effective working relationships and engage and influence stakeholders
    • Coach and build the capability of managers to anticipate and pre-empt people issues
    • Work with people managers, Head of Talent and Head of HR to review and update succession and development plans for key roles and talent
    • Deliver a first class HR service to the business, promoting best practice and supporting managers to deliver people solutions
    • Attend relevant management and departmental meetings to advise on HR projects and changes
    • Influence the development of HR policies and processes to ensure they meet the needs of the business
    • Actively identify gaps, propose and implement changes necessary to mitigate against risk
    • Keep up to date with external trends and best practice within HR
    • identify, propose, implement and evaluate forward thinking initiatives, projects, and practices that support individual teams and the organisation as a whole, resourcing and engaging relevant stakeholders and working in partnership to ensure successful project delivery
    • Work with the L&D Manager to deliver excellence in the training and development of our people.

About you

    • CIPD level 7 qualified or equivalent experience
    • Credible with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels
    • HR experience to a strategic HRBP level
    • Resilient with the ability to confidently challenge and influence senior stake holders
    • Track record in delivering HR projects
    • Strategic thinker, able to see the bigger picture whilst also ensuring their team provide excellent advisory and administrative service to our people across the full employment life cycle
    • Expert understanding of HR policies, systems and processes
    • Can provide appropriate advice and guidance which aligns with legal requirements, company policy and best practice
