Due to major growth we are expanding our Communications team in our Perth HQ and currently looking for an Events & Communications Specialist to join us.

As the Events & Communication Specialist you will be an integral member of the Corporate Communications team responsible for driving and coordinating outreach activities and VGW-hosted events. Activities support talent acquisition and corporate communications strategies to build our company image and enhance our employee brand, both internally and externally. 

The Events & Communications Specialist also provides general communications support for the Corporate Communications function, with the ability to produce engaging communication materials.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and manage VGW’s global outreach activities and events calendar. 
  • End-to-end event management for VGW-hosted events and conferences. 
  • Coordinate and manage VGW’s attendance at industry events and conferences.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of sponsorship agreements.
  • Provide support for VGW’s corporate communications strategy and activities.
  • Coordinate VGW’s monthly global town halls. 
  • Develop communication materials suitable for a variety of channels.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of communications and events.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, events management, public relations or a related area.
  • At least three years' experience in communications and events in a medium to large company in a fast-paced environment.
  • An understanding of the technology landscape is preferred.
  • Possess strong organisational, project management and administrative skills.
  • Experience managing engagement with senior business leaders and external stakeholders. 
  • Self-motivated and solutions-driven with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • High-level of attention to detail. 
  • Be available and flexible with working hours to attend events and conferences (this may include early mornings, evenings, weekends or travel as required).
